Oil Tank Disposals

Whatever the size, capacity or material your tank is constructed of, we can dispose of it legally at a licensed waste disposal facility.

Our skilled technicians can in most cases remove the tank whole by utilising our lifting equipment, which includes our lorry mounted crane which can lift tanks from behind garages, over walls and hedges. Where access is not quite so difficult we can uplift the tank using a trolley and our drop side vehicles fitted with a tail lift ensures the safe removal of the tank.

If necessary we can also cut up the tank to remove it, if lifting it out whole is not an option. All tanks are cleaned to the industry standard, which includes the issuing of a gas free certificate before cutting. This ensures all risks are kept to a minimum. Calves Hill is also insured for this type of work.

All of our vehicles are covered by our waste carriers license, issued by the Environment Agency for the transportation of the tank whole or in parts to a licensed disposal site.

If the tank still contains fuel we can either transfer it, as described in our Fuel Transfers link, or alternatively dispose of it at a licensed waste facility.

Prior to all tank disposals we carry out a detailed survey to ensure we bring the appropriate equipment to allow us to remove the tank by the best method available, we also confirm how much residual fuel is remaining in the tank to ensure the most cost effective disposal route. This survey by one of our OFTEC registered tank technicians is free of charge.
